Buying  a farm, Aljezur; what you need to know.

When we were buying our place, we found a lot of information on the web, but there were also a lot of things we couldn't find.

After all those sticky-sweet tourist brochures, I wanted to put together something different. A useful resource for someone thinking of moving to the area.

On this website I'll be writing some of the things we found out [sometimes the hard way].

This is particularly aimed at those who want to buy small farms, quintas, of 1 to 10 hectares. But you might find other information on here as well.

The western Algarve is stunningly beautiful, undeveloped, with ample water, good infrastructure, and some of the best weather in Europe.

But there are some things to beware of, especially for the property buyer. Things aren't always how you expect, or how people might lead you to believe.

I will add links to properties that are for sale.
